In I Exaggerate: My Brushes with Fame, actor, comedian, and Saturday Night Live alum Kevin Nealon shares his original full-color caricatures and funny, endearing personal essays about his famous friends. Alongside his portraits and doodles from script margins and cocktail napkins, Nealon takes readers through his memories on the SNL set to the eulogy he gave at his dear friend Garry Shandling’s funeral. He’s joined by five-time Emmy winner Alan Zweibel, an original Saturday Night Live writer whose iconic work includes It’s Garry Shandling’s Show (co-creator/producer) and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Zweibel is also the author of 11 books, including his cultural memoir, Laugh Lines: My Life Helping Funny People Be Funnier, and the Thurber Prize-winning novel The Other Shulman.
